This week I had two custom orders beyond my usual creations. One of them was a wonderful challenge where I created a green rosary with a handcrafted sterling silver cross. The design of the cross was up to me and I almost finished it realizing it would not be right for the customer. I still finished the first cross which will be sent off to one of the galleries. I then designed another sterling silver cross I felt were more suitable for the customer. I think the result was a very modern and unique rosary and I hope she will enjoy it for a very long time.
The other custom order was a sterling silver bangle made from a thick silver wire with a lot of swirls and curves. I just absolutely love bangles like this. I actually almost broke a finger trying to give the bangle a really good polish in one of the many curves but what you do not do in order to be satisfied with the finish. The bangle is very contemporary and funky and has been sold through the gallery at Wills Domain which is one of the fabulous wineries near Dunsborough and Yallingup in Western Australia.
